The Digital Medical Education International Collaborative in South Africa (Digital MEdIC SA) is an initiative of the Stanford Center for Health Education and the Stanford School of Medicine. We are a small team of health educators, illustrators, film-makers and digital media specialists. We work together with local community clinics, academic institutions and government health representatives, to identify the most important health topics in South Africa, then create and deliver accessible, targeted health education to anyone, anywhere, anytime. All of the content we create is feely available to the public and we aim to engage our audience using rich visuals, story-telling and interviews with South Africans who share their own stories and perspectives.
The 100% Breastfed Initiative is the result of a collaboration between the Stanford Center for Health Education and numerous local stakeholders including: The Western Cape Dept. of Health, The University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University, UNICEF, Philani Child Health and Nutrition, The University of the Witswatersrand, University of Limpopo and the First 1000 Days Initiative.
Please join us in celebrating breastfeeding – the first choice for feeding South Africa’s future.
